Q:

Looking for a good shoulder rest for sighting talon

Hello all,

I’m looking for a decently priced shoulder rest for the purpose of sighting in the laser on my talon. The talon has an unusual straight shape to it (compared to a regular rifle), so I figured some rests would work better than others, and some not at all. I don’t think that bean/sand bags are going to work for me because I have to reach up and tweak with the laser screws after a shot, and that makes holding the thing steady impossible (at least for me). Many thanks for any feedback!

Thanks for the input!

It’s near impossible to hold a rifle steady while making adjustments with just a rest. Your best bet would be a vise.

Point the scope at spot on a target, at the yardage you you want your laser zeroed…Take a shot, then with the scope aimed at the same spot, zero the laser on the hole you just made. You should not have to shoot again except to check the zero on the laser….
