Looking for advice on new .25
8) Hello, I’m new to the forum. I’m trying to absorb some of the info on the AF rifles. Thinking on having a custom .25 AAA condor by TT made with 18″ barrel. Thoughts or opinions on the rifle or TT’s work/reliability. Also any members in the Ma area that have worked on and use these great looking units that can show me a bit?

Gents, thanx for a warm welcome and much appreciated advise. Every thing I’ve read leads me to believe that Tony at TT does First class work and after talking to him I get the sense that he’s the real deal. Fatman nice shooting what did you setup for glass on it? Savagesam I think your probably correct and I’m thinking about tinkering with a Talon/Condor in .22 as a starter also. Yellow Ninga PM sent I’m in central MA. nice looking grip on the current unit.
IMHO, you need to either own a stock one first and then send it to Tony or own a stock one and order another one from Tony in order to fully appreciate what he does to these things.

The quickest (and cheaper) way to go is get a Condor or Talon SS from a retailer – then you don’t have the wait and if you want a .25 barrel you can buy one from Anthony and still be able to shoot until it comes and then sell the .22 which will offset the cost of the .25.
You might find you don’t even want to bother with .25 after shooting a .22 Condor – But I’d highly recommend .25.
There are a few guys who sell shrouds – tony included.
Here’s my current rig that your more than welcome to try out if your anywhere near South Eastern MA –

I have a Talon Tune AAA .25 Condor with a 24 inch barrel. It is a very accurate rifle. I have shot English House Sparrows (11) off my Martin house and gourd rack at 30 and 35 yards. I have killed skunks and Racoons with it at 30 to 40 yards. The farthest I have shot it is 100 yards at a tin can and the pellet went throw the can. Only took 2 shots to figure I needed to be 2 1/2 mil dot high. The rifle is great. The only problem is getting the .25 pellets right now.

wile we may be a brash bunch at times this place is full of great and knowledgeable folk that will help with what ever we can, enjoy your self and don’t be afraid to put someone in their place if need be 😉
as for the talon tuned .25 you can not go wrong with anything that Tony touches let alone builds, there is a bit of a wait to get his work but it is well worth it, you will not be disappointed in any way once it finally comes, now finding good plinking pellets for it may be a different story…
