Q:

looking for info on 22 vulcan

1. Would someone please chrony a .22 caliber using a 2900 fill down to whatever psi is still useful and provide the # of shots, fps, spread, etc? I have a regulated bottle and this is currently my max fill pressure.
2. How about an actual weight of the gun without scope?
3. Best pellet & weight
4. Getting confused between vulcan and wildcat. Which one has hammer ping? if vulcan, anyway to silence it?

Thanks

I forgot to mention, the JSB pellets (15.89 + 18.13 ) seem to be very accurate, and they seem to be easier to feed into the chamber / barrel throat than the Crosman Premier pellets. Those and the Beeman Silver Bear are the only pellets I have tried, Happy with the JSB.

Hi, I have a .22 Vulcan, and I am pretty happy with it.
I don’t have a chrony, so I can’t help you there, but there are a few other strings to look at on this site.
I have been getting 4 mags from my Vulcan filling it to 2900. I would fill it higher, but I just have an older scuba bottle, and it is getting low on air, so I need to go get it refilled.
I really haven’t found any of the noise levels to be annoying or excessive, so maybe it is just me, but it seems OK.
The rifle is very light. I would weigh it for you, but I don’t want to remove my scope. I think there is a published weight on it somewhere, and it is probably pretty close. If I had a lighter, more compact scope, I think it would be perfect in terms of weight and balance.
The accuracy seems very consistent.
In general. I think you will be very happy with a Vulcan. One thing about these rifles is they seem like they will be easy to work on, simple and robust, almost modular in design.
