Looking for the best chipmunk airgun
I need something powerful and short in 25 caliber (just in case a squirrel comes by). A $400 Edgun would be good. Who has anything that would fit the bill ?

It seems like it is a constant battle to teach these armchair hunters to use enough gun.
They all want to use their pee shooters, but once they wound one and their guide has to bash it with his double to save their ass, they just don’t learn.
Then it is always the same thing, why did no one tell me.

I don’t see how you could possibly get by with less than a AAA Condor from Tony fully tuned fro 7 rings.
The last chipmonk I killed was with the Ranger 45 at about 15 yards.
Although not a head shot, it was a one shot kill and he did not do a death dance oddly enough.
He ended being maybe two or three times longer than he was prior to the shot.
I suppose the bullet out weighed him.

.25 condor all the way you will knock that crap out of them then u will laugh when it tumbbles with that distinc sound u get. So go big its so worth it and u can get a good used af on this site fo that price
I know a few folks with Talon Ps enroute so I am awaiting a report. For $400 it seems like it could have potential for a decent little hunter.
The word BEST is too difficult a word for this scenario.
Most squirrels don’t live through any projectile cleanly penetrating the heart or lungs or brain. So accuracy again is more important than power for a lowly squirrel at only 35 yards. .25 is overkill but if overkill is what you want then????????
As mentioned and honestly, any caliber airgun is gonna kill a little chipmunk and will also knock a squirrels block off. Any gun/any caliber (only if accurate) will do for this situation.
why not a talon ss in 22?
Not many people like the .20 bore, but I love it for small critters from squirrels to hornets.
The 12″ barrel I have is probably the most accurate barrel I own with exacts. I wont sell it though, just using it as an example.
When fitted to my signature rifle and with the red-dot kobra sight, its a supremely accurate and handy rifle and will kill any type of game I actually hunt out to 40ish yards. Its not very handy in the wind though, those light pills tend to wander a bit.
Already have a 25 caliber “Condor” with 95 gram hammer.
More so looking for the “Chicken Hawk”. :14:
The .22 condor or Talon will do just fine, .25 would be better, of course.

It’s not so much chipmunk class pellets, but chipmunks are usually taken under 20 yards up here in the NorthEast. BUT I don’t want to be under powered if I see a larger critter at 35 yards.
I’m kind of looking at the Talon P, considering I have all the parts and tools needed for a Condor already.
Must be some giant chipmunks/squirrels, to need 1/4 bore? What part of the country are you from? Any decent .177 works for me.
Now I’d like to a well priced .25 for myself, not gonna see a $400/руб 12125.00 Edgun?
