Personally the take down feature is one of the main reason I purchased the AF gun to begin with.
I do not sit at a bench all day shooting off of bags. I pack up the Jeep and take a pack with the AF rifle in it. It is a big plus not having to show off a rifle while on a trail. Even though it is totally legal to shoot where I go, it is not wise to show a gun off on the trial when you do not have to.
AF not only makes their rifles, the also make BKL mounts as well. If they are growing that is good.
You guys will know soon enough what is coming out 🙂

I hope that they will FINALLY stop cutting out such a huge amount of the material in the breach end. It is the Achilles Heal of the AF Platform.
As far as ramping up for big bores, the research has already been done for them. Right Here on the TAG!!!
For most shooters, it’s easy “Take Down” quality is no where as important as other features the platform accomplishes. In the beginning, it was a selling point. But that is long past. Unless like some folks that like to sneak an AG into places they shouldn’t be hunting in in the first place.
The AF Platform is unique in that it can deliver a large dose of power in a relatively small package, is light for a Big Bore, and has a much higher air supply than most big bores.
Add to this the ultra simple valve design, that is easily modified to achieve a given goal, and it is a natural in it’s ability to be converted to a real powerhouse of an AG.
Just hope that AirForce doesn’t screw it up! It wouldn’t be the first time that they “Just didn’t Get it”! They have to loose the take down “Kit Gun” persona. It’s time they treated their product’s and Customers with a bit more respect!

I seriously doubt they will go down repeater lane in the very near future, but I think we are going to see their big bore offering soon (I hope). It will have a different frame than the present models and you will be able to change barrels quickly. It is my understanding the caliber range will be between .25 and .50.
My personal preference is a single shot. It helps you make every shot count.

With that being said….
Muzzle loaders and archery equipment seem to be as popular as ever.
AF fills a niche of lower price, Higher Power take down rifle.
Making it a repeater would have them jumping into a crowded market of less power, higher price.
The Sweet 16 was similar to the AF style and higher quality and a magazine. Of course it came with a higher price so it then had to compete with higher end guns and never was very successful. Being a repeater did not help it from falling behind and failing.
Okay , I get the big picture , they are moving and expanding to save money . Which is smart for any company . However , are they going to change their
rifle production format or are they going to keep it as it is ? If they don’t try to compete in the real world of air gun changes , then they will end up like
the Neanderthal man and die out due to newer and better technology . A company that is not willing to evolve and change with the rest of the world is
doomed and will die out because its clients will not only get tired of the same thing but they will want to have the newer air guns that have better
and newer designs and technology . They need to start making air rifles that are repeaters and semi-auto matic or they will fall behind in the industry
to other manufactures .

Maybe they finally have their big bore worked out.
