Loose bushings
I was at the range today and my Condor was shooting very weirdly I was getting groups from 0.3 inches to 2.5 inches at 40 yards. So i was told to grease the breech area with silicon grease as i haden’t done that since i bought the gun (1 year ago). Anyway when i went home i decided to take the barrel hammer and breach out (first time ever) to see what i could find and give it a good clean and then grease it. Well, it was full of thick dust so i clean that. But what really concerned me was that the bushing on the barrel were nearly totally loose.
So i am wondering if that may be the reason of bad performance or are the bushings sup post to be loose althought there are allen scews that tighten them up?

doug here uses urethane almost exclusively, and i love it for the fact that it is about the toughest material to use in an o ring.
kinda like viton too, but i use FC grease in my breech, and that can cause viton to deteriorate or swell, being FC based as well.

011 is the size. Mcmaster Carr sells 90d cast ureathane o rings and they work the best.
The size is #11..and no you should not get from your local hw store.
It is suppost to be a Duro70 or Duro90 oring, your hw store wont have them. But I suppose in an emergency the #11 from the hw store might work for a few weeks or so..

Can somebody please tell me if the o-rings in the breech are just normal o-rings i can get from a hardware store or do i have to get the original ones from Airforce.

I will put some loctite tommorow. The bushings seem tright the moment i tighten the allen screw so i dont think i need new bushings. Hopefully that was my problem!
Loose bushings do something else that is negative. When loose bushings are seated by their set screws, they become off center. The left side set screw pushes the barrel to the right, and the bottom set screw pushes the barrel up. This can produce clipping against the baffles you might have installed, (I don’t know if it can be bad enough to clip on the factory endcap). This will require you to open up the hole diameters in your bushings, or do something to center your bushings, (like wrap thin tape, or aluminum foil around your bushings). Another alternative is to order bushings from Tony at TalonTunes, (click on his banner at the top of the page). He will have you measure your frame’s internal diameter and then make bushings that custom fit your gun’s frame. He also vents the forward bushing.
This condition of being off center of the frame’s axis can affect your scope’s adjustment. We buy the BKL mounts so as to get our scopes centered with the frame and eliminate the need for shimming the scope to get it centered. Then we have this condition that moves the barrel over without our knowing it and wonder wha’s going on??? Sloppy tolerences
Like Dyotat told you, loose bushings will definitely screw up your accuracy.
That is most likely your problem. The bushings don’t fit the barrel real good and when they come loose the barrel can move. Gets some blue loctite and put it on the set screws. Snug up the screws but don’t over do it.
