Q:

Loudness and breech Orings

Hi everyone, thanks for the help I have been getting on here without which I would be stuck. I’ve fitted the 24 inch barrel to my talon and it has gone really loud. At the same time I have changed my breech for a new standard breech and I’m just wondering if perhaps the new breech came without orings fitted? Presumably not, I would have thought airforce would provide orings in new breeches but thought I would quickly check that. So I’m off to the hardware store today to see what I can do to improve the silencing of my six inch talon silencer which is basically just a hollow tube.

Hi Birdman, thanks for the reply. That would be really could wouldn’t it to fit the soundloc baffles in the silencer itself. Unfortunately I don’t have them. Mine is the straight Condor minus SS treatment. I’ve just got the Talon silencer screwed to end of barrel with an adaptor. I’ve just been to the hard ware store and bought some black plastic pipe which I am going to use to extend the six inch airforce silencer. I will let you know how I get on. Cheers.

Chrisyboy , I’am assuming that your Talon is either .22cal . or .25cal. and not an SS model . The big difference is that the Talon SS model comes with 3 Baffles .
It really makes a big difference if you do not have these baffles . I have a Talon SS originally in .22cal. with 12″ barrel and after talking to Tony I went with
a TT 9″ LDC and it made the world of difference in quietness . I have up-graded my Talon SS to a TT .25cal. 12″ barrel and still using the same TT 9″ LDC and I’m
still getting the same backyard quietness , my neighbors don’t even know when I shoot in my backyard , it really is that quiet . I don’t know your present barrel set-up ,
whither if not , you would be able to incorporate these three baffles to your present barrel set-up . Hope this info may be of some help .
