Q:

Low rings on a 410?

Just wondering.. either I’d like to add something to the butt of this rifle, or better yet go from medium high rings to low rings for a better cheek weld, where it’s more comfortable for me to get a perfect look thru the scope. I’ve got about 1/4 of a inch clearance now between the scope tube and the mag. Will low rings be to low where the scope tube will hit the mag? Don’t wanna buy new rings just to find out it won’t fit. thx

Yeah usually it’s the objective lens/barrel/shroud clearance that is the issue, I’m running a 30mm tube with a 50mm objective lens. I have double the clearance between the lens and the shroud right now than from the tube to the mag, so my concern is the mag/tube clearance, not the lens/shroud clearance.

Depends on the ring, there is no set standard for low/med/high

I went through about 5 different sets of rings before I found a set that left a tiny gap between the objective lens and the barrel shroud.

Some places give the measurement between the dovetail and where the bottom of a scope tube would be.
