I ran into this trigger system today and just thought it sounded good.

I went and shot it today. Was planning on zeroing in at 200 yards but the trijicon scope is shit for 200. It’s 1.5x-4x so I need something 8x+ to see. So i just semi-zeroed on some irons out there at 200. And tried my best to group but it came out to 4″-6″ groups. I’ll get a better scope on this next time. It was fun to shoot but I had problems on every couple rounds with failure to fire. In these cases, the primer was struck but the round did not fire so I had to eject the round and load a new one.

Two possible causes. I have a lighter buffer weight and spring in the stock and I should probably use the heavier one (H2) that was shipped to me. And quite possibly I will need a need trigger system. Perhaps a drop-in match trigger system will give the pin more punch at firing the primer.

All in all, I like this 6.8 round. It does feel like the 5.56 recoil. And when it landed on the steel out 200 and 300 yards….it made a loud ping. The drop at 300 yards when zeroed at 200 is minimal.

Like in the future weapons show, I removed the extractor+bolt after 60 rounds with my bare hands. No way I could do that with my gas driven 2.23. It was nice and clean and it could be packed away without burning the foam in my pelican case. Good stuff!

will do. i’ll post some groups after i go to the range.

really cool. I like it.

Please give shooting impressions once you get to put it through its paces. Been thinking of a 6.8 upper for my AR but don’t have any exp. with the cartrige. Let us know how you like it vs the 5.56.

Thats a bad memma jimma!
