Q:

magazine fitting tight

after completely disassembly and reassembling the rifle, the magazine would not fit in the breech. Did I tighten something too tight? What’s the correct steps in reinstalling? Here’s what I did:

1. screw in barrel alignment tool and align barrel, tighten tool
2. insert air tube
3. insert breech in air tube & barrel
4. tighten the set screw (the one that align the air tube to the breech) then the other set screw
5. remove barrel alignment tool and tighten barrel/airtube clamps

Once I took my Cricket apart a few times it seems like that block loosened up a bit and that cap screw needed to be tightened. Not a big deal as Ernest shows.

cap screw hold this mag index block in place, the magazine always rub on its plate.

1.Check mag if hitting the barrel, may have to loosen barrel and move forward just to clear mag—–place alignment screw and lightly seated then back out 3/4 turn loosen barrel clamp pull barrel forward till alignment screw hit the barrel and that should be enough clearance for the mag then lightly tighten barrel clamp, remove alignment pin, tighten barrel clamp.

2. did you remove the index block cap screw???? if so loosen cap screw insert mag and tighten cap screw.

The barrel does not interfere with the magazine. It seems like I tighten something too tight and it actually squeezes the breech area where the magazine goes in tighter. I loosened up everything and let the gun “rest”. I think the culprit was the breech set screw being too tight. Everything is okay now… But I suspect this won’t be the first or last experience. Anybody had this issue?

BTW what is the index block cap screw?
