Q:

MAGPUL MOE L4 rail on Long and Standard R3 and Atlas bipod

I use same rail for all my EDguns and its Magpul MOE L4. It is strong and perfect length.

Pilot hole is 5/64 and then upsize to 1/8. Mark the depth on the drill with masking tape so you dont go too deep.

Screw is from Home Depot – Everbuilt Wood Screw #10 x 3/4in. Item 807491.

Measurements made with Mitutoyuo calipers.

Sorry tang….you did your homework. I had seen so many fakes for sale and read about some people asking others in the forums if theirs were real or fake. That just got me nervous and I decided to not take a chance. But, good to know that there are some authorized dealers selling on EBAY/Amazon.

I think I may have seen that setup somewhere before………. 😀

Yes the Magpul rail works beautifully for the purpose. Even the 11 slot one may be used. What is pictured above is the 9 slot one……..

I didn’t want to buy the Atlas anywhere but an authorized dealer. You could get a fake. Not worth the $10 bucks.

Lol….the seller on Ebay is Red’s Trading post who is listed as an “authorized dealer” on B&T Industries website as such! C’mon man you think I would lead people here to purchase some fake copy of the Atlas? 🙂 But good on yah for being conscientious of things like that. I don’t understand the promotionhttp://www.talonairgun.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=26904&hilit=atlas+bipod+knockoffof buying a fake Atlas on this site but the “I don’t care who you are” thread above. If I was super worried about the $$ I would just buy a cheapo UTG bipod, but I really like the Atlas Bipod….the thing is a rock!

There are different kinds of thieves. TV evangelists, politicians, attorneys, and Chinese manufacturers. But there is also Hudson Hawk, Thomas Crowne, Oceans crew (11-13 of them), etc. Which one would you be? Some are scum….some are petty cool? 🙄

Calling me a thief???

Sent from a Tab my wife lured me to buy … If your Aunt has a pair of hairy balls does that make “her” your Uncle ?

I bought mine at midway too.

Well I found and bought one slightly cheaper than Midway….

Saved around $15…not as much as I saved on those Hawkes but ah well.

And to keep your cheek warm. This material is AWESOME!

I bought mine at midway too.

I always appreciate your photos. The shroud reminds me of the Browning 1917 or the Vickers machine gun with the offset barrel. Where are you getting the bipods from? I want to buy another for my Cricket carbine. The prices on Amazon are over priced. So far the best price I’ve seen for the ones with the quick release is Midway $279. Amazon does have the 2 screw one for $213….but they want $300 for the quick release!

is there enough room behind the atlas to put an angled or offset rail mount for a flashlight?

how deep do you go with your pilot holes

thanks
lars

Yes there is enough space to mount flashlight. Alternatively you can go with Magpul L5 as it is a little big longer.

Pilot hole is 14mm deep.

That’s not one of those Chinese Bi-pod’s I’ve heard so much about is it?

Just kidding I could care less :5:

No. It is genuine ATLAS BT10-LW17

I like to support USA made products and I do not support theft and counterfeit goods.
