Maintenance Question from new Condor owner
Hi all.
Been into airguns for years have myself a Super Streak that after some work turned into a nice springer.
Finally decided to take the plunge into pcps, okay thats not really the truth been wanting a pcp for years and only now have I talked the wife into letting me get one.
I ordered myself a condor ss as its everything I want in a pcp. Well it will be after I do some mods but thats down the road after I get some practical experience first.
My first question is besides putting some silcone lube on the orings every once in a while what other maintenance should I be doing on my condor, how often do you put lube on the orings?
Second question, Do you put any kind of air filters on your hand pump intakes? I know some add a desiccant to the intake to compliment the one inside the pump but do most people add a larger one to the intake? Thanks for the info.

A bit of lube on the hammer and breech:
outside of the hammer to keep smooth movement. do not overdue with too much grease or it will gunk.
inside of the breach to keep the o’rings in good working conditions.
I use silicon based products.
Don’t clean the barrel unless you are getting poor accuracy. it also depends on how much you shoot.
use pellet lube in your pellet can. this will help keeping the barrel cleaner.

Hey guys, i like to apply a very very light film of diver silca on the barrel breech for the slide orings, polishing the barrel breech is a great ideal, as far as barrel cleaning, if you feel that the accuracy is suffering then cleaning the barrel is good ideal. If it’s shooting smiles then leave it alone. I use chain Lube on the hammer contact to frame points, very very little. Hope this helps!
All good questions. I am just coming back to shooting my condor and wondering the same this as I need to do some maintenance on a gun that has been sitting for 2 yrs! Shame on me I know but hey the house is done and we live in it now!
Also wondering how often to clean the barrel and baffles. Anyone?

Thanks guys. I still have yet to shoot it. It rained all day here today and my desiccant filter wasn’t complete yet. Its ready now so I hope to put pump it up tomorrow but don’t know when I’ll shot probably next weekend 🙁 Hate when works gets in the way of fun.
