Q:

Making my own stock :)

Picked up a kiln dried piece of walnut today that should be enough to make 2 stocks for my Cricket .25 but before I start let me hear/see some ideas for the basic shape. I know I’m adding a longer forearm but that about all I got. So lets see what you guys can come up with.
Also going to be picking up some maple to make me another skeleton stock for fun

There’s been a lot of Black Walnut milling going on at work (mostly boards), might be some pieces up for grabs. Let me know if interested and dimensions.

Anything over 2.5″x 5.5″ I would interested in and of course anything showing some nice grain.

Absolutely love the 2nd/5th one from the bottom. Would love to do one like that from my R3 long….

Wingman NZ… these are splendid works of art.. thanks for sharing.

I like the wraparound cheek welds-reckon the magnets must be stronger than the top mounted pieces.

How about a mag holder?

I’m really looking forward to doing it just hate inletting, one slip and the whole piece is done for. Looking to find some nice pieces of ebony for a grip cap and buttplate spacer and maybe someone to make a nice trigger guard out of aluminum.
