Marauder (Maudie) out of the box.

I received my Marauder (Maudie) from AoA while I was at work today. I was only able to look at her briefly at that time. Nice looking rifle Came to mind.

I got Maudie home, and looked her over. Very nice looking rifle. I like the dark wood stock. Although I do wish that they did not have to engrave Benjamin in 1 inch letters on the bottom of the forearm. That’s just me.

Now I loaded up the 10 shot clip. Look at the instructions. Loading is not as intuitive as say the S410 clip.
AoA was nice enough to send me a free tin of JSB Exact heavy 10.3G. So I go out to my shooting spot and fire a few pellets.(25 yards) First shot was off, high and left. I clicked the scope turrets a few clicks…. any way a long story short. Maudie does not like JSB Exacts. Or Beeman silver arrows 11.50G. for that matter. All over rover for those.
So I filled the tank and loaded up some premier heavys 10.5G. 7 shots later, I was one holing shots consistently from 25 yards. 😀 😀 😀

I can not believe how smooth the trigger is. It is like spreading butter (that is at just that right temp.) over toast smooth. The first stage is like, Oh hello there. Then the second stage is the firm hand shake that says lets do this again real soon. Just that Ohhh Ahhh kind of feel.

Anyway I am able to get about 4 clips on a single fill.
I can not wait to play around with her some more and find out what she is really capable of.
