Q:

matador .25 shot string – opinions wanted

Hi all,

This is my shot string from today after tweaking regulator (in) and hammer spring tension (out).
The objective was to shoot around 890fps.

please have a look and give me your opinion on the shot string – I know it can be improved, slightly but should I even bother trying to improve from here?

btw, how can I calculate the air usage / shot? (matador .25 standard).

started out a hair above 200 bars and last shot is at 110 bars

Max 897.0
Min 883.0
Average 888.6
Standard Deviation 3.6
Extreme Spread 14.0
Energy 44.6
Average Deviation 2.9

“At what pressure did the speed drop? ”
– right after 110 bars… pellet speed was about 875 fps… didnt want to continue shooting as I hand pump and its hard as it is pumping it up from 110.

Thanks for calculating the air usage… unfortunately I dont know if 15,76 cc/fp is little, average or much compared to other 25’s standard 🙂

I have seen the .22 getting as low as 11-something cc/fp but I dont think the same nummer is achievable with the .25

Would be fun to see numbers for other .25 standards.

Thanks again Veerkracht

Hi qpush,

If this a R3 standard .25 and the tube is the same as an .22 standard (289cc) and these are 37 shots with an averidge energy of 44.6 fpe then it is:
15,76 cc/fp
At what pressure did the speed drop?

Regards,
Robert
