Matador regulator
Hi all just wondered if anybody can help
I’m the proud owner of an edgun matadorr3 in .22
It has also been detuned to 12 ft lbs there doesn’t seem to be any smaller transfer port as others have mentioned on here
My issue is the regulator mine says 130 on it but no mark as to where to line it up with the reg adjuster can someone tell me how many turns in or out I nead to be to set it at 130 and return it to where it should bebasicly returning it to factory settings this also includes the hst adjuster is there a start point for this
I’ve got a chrome and a load of jsb 18.13 grain pellets ready for testing but am stuck with where reg should be to start

Well I’ve done as suggested and have some results first of the hst screw was a fair way out due to being detuned to 12 ft lbs so as suggested I turned the reg 1.5 turns ccw and put back together first couple of shots were in the low 200s however once I turned in the hst the speed increased but increased every shot fired it went from 640 fps upto 760 fps now my question before I do any thing else apart from refill and do it again is
Does the regulator require so many shots through before it settles if so roughly how many all help will be gladly received

Thanks for the info mate I’ll start tommorrow and hopefully post results after tweeting however I’m still wondering is 890 to 900 fps the best speed for jsb jumbo heavies 18.13 grain anybody use this exact pellet in there r3 .22 edgun IDE be interested to know
If it was me… I would turn the reg out (ccw) 1 1/2 – 1 3/4 turn and take it from there… It’s really just a guessing game so get started and work your way towards whatever speed you want to achieve.
My rifle changes 15 fps / “hr” (1/12th of a turn of reg)
Just remember to turn the HST out 1-2 turns whenever you adjust the reg then work your way in (adjusting the HST) until you have reached your max speed (after a certain point, turning your HST in will actually decrease speed).

Well I’ve done a chrony string of 50 shots and she’s doing585 high and 570 low with an average of 578 fps with jsb18.13 grain jumbo heavies
I want to tune her up to shoot these pellets at 890 900 fps
2 questions is 890 900 fps right for this pellet And I assume I have to adjust the reg aswell as hst
Have I done something wrong I’ve reassembled my matador come to fill with air and gauge on gun doesn’t register any air however there is some in the gun as dry firing proved

How many fps are you shooting at right now?
I would like to know the speeds before I could give you a rough idea of how much you need to turn the reg adjuster clockwise.
There is also a topic here from a guy in the UK that turrned mis matador down to 12 fpe. He gives the ammount that he turned his reg out (CCW). You might do a search for it.

Hi all need advice again right first of I’ve done what was suggested and turned my reg ccw 1.5 turns and turned in the hst what seems to be happening is that from a 200 bar fill the fist 50 shots go from 525 fps to 640 fps and keep climbing in speed until at around 100 bar on gun gauge it starts to slow down as you would expect I don’t understand the climb in speed if anyone out there can help it would be much appreciated its like my complete shot string would look like a hill
