Maurader.22 carved stock
Sorry for the bad pix,but here are my results. Alot of hours went into this. The stock is hardwood but no where the density of walnut.But it still turned out great,i plan on alot more carving to this stock,but need a break and do some shooting.

Thanks for the nice words.It took me about 16 hours from pattern layout and deciding to end of carving to complete work. It was going to be fishscale and at last minute ,i decided not too because of softer beech wood,and i,m glad i did 😯 .I use a high speed air drill that turns at 400,000 RPMs,or 6,000 RPS, and 6 differant burs,and lots of short breaks too break up boredom. Here is my Talon grip and forearm made from solid walnut.
