atm i can get 2-3″ at 100ms and that is my max range atm for rabbits and magpies .
so its realy how accurate you can shoot to.

Your effective Max hunting range is as Harry’s excellent post surmised.
A 1″ group is really the minimum requirment, and at the moment I find it difficult to shoot 1″ groups at 50 Yards. For 1 i dont have a range that long. The power of even a stock condor is enough to take rabbit sized animals at upto 150 yards, but you must head shoot to get a reliable kill. Anyone that says they are head shooting or even hitting a rabbit sized target at that range is kidding themselves. What i have found through trial and error is that conventional pellets of Diabolo shape should always be shot at 950 FPS for Max accuracy. Bullets can be shot faster, but i have yet to find a super accurate one till now. I have tried pile drivers and they shoot all over the place, Eley magnums are ok for upto 50 yards or so, but groups open up over an inch. The best pellet i have ever shot in my condor Bar none is the TM2 prometheous. 17 gr pellet that handles supersonic flight like having a poo ! I just got some from Airguns of arizona and at 25 yards they group into half inch or less, even at 1250 FPS !!! These pellets should be awsome at 50 to 100 yards. I am hanging out to try at 100 yards to see what they can do. If i can get half inch at 50 yards, i might just might be able to shoot a 1″ group at 100 yards ! I need a better scope !
Now if the magical 1″ or 1 MOA at 100 yards is achieved then i can confidently shoot at game upto 100 Yards. The shape of the TM2 look pretty good. I also tried daystate rangemaster’s and they were pretty good, as good as Barracuda’s and eun jins. There shape looks like they would be better at retained energy than a conventional pellet, anyone know the BC of these pellets?

Zergo.. The effective range of your gun is always the distance that you can accurately shoot with it. For some it may be 50 or 60yds, for others 80 depending on the scope, skill and the level of tuning that has gone into the gun.
Now if you are asking what is the effective range of the Condor to bring small-medium small game down (up to and incl. racoon/fox) well then it’s the above answer, plus the kinetic energy the pellet carries at that distance. Is it enough to bring down say a large racoon or fox at 60yds? Sure because all you need is about 8-9ft-lbs on impact (to the head) to take them down quickly. You must know your pellet’s kinetic energy at various distances.
The effective range for hunting is typically the one where you can consistently shoot 1″ groups at. 1″ deviation is acceptable for small-game hunting and usually within the “kill zone”. That is, if you want to accomplish a quick and humane kill without losing your prey or having to follow up with more shots. Shot placement is everything in airgun hunting so if you can shoot a 12oz can 1 out of 5 times at 80yds or any distance, or get 3-4″ groups, I wouldn’t be putting my croshairs on any animal, unless maybe it’s a deer and you have a big bore 300fpe .50cal Dragon Slayer or a powder burner where a couple of inches here or there don’t matter for a vitals shot.
Shoot within your means and ability. You will then discover what “your” effective range is. You will not know what it is unless you practice a lot and frequently, because shooting a gun accurately is something that you have to keep doing for as long as you own that gun. If you don’t shoot it for a month, you may be back to square 1..

I am not sure about a condor, but I know that when you push a pellet supersonic, accuracy goes to crap. My Talon 24 pushes Kodiaks at 960 fps, and I was just hitting pepsi cans at 150 yards 7/10 times, and I am not that great a shot. 😆 I am guessing that if you know your gun, you could pull a 200 yarder.
