Q:

Max. power out of stock hi-flow valve

Whats the max. FPE you could squeeze out off the stock hi-flow valve (shooting slugs) and what would I need to achieve this?

That was before I dechoked the barrel though

What they shoot like at 50 yards my LW is dechoked now. I think they may be to big they shot slower then the heavier ones you sent me.

I have only shot them in a TJ barreled gun.

Not sure how they work in a LW.

DORITOS!!!

TRITOS!!!

DITTOS!!

Are you selling them? If so, how many are you going to make, You’ve tested them at length, and they are very accurate? I really will not have a problem with cutting a leed, if they are affordable, accurate, and accessible.

I have one but you would need to cut a leed in so you can push it in the barrel.

Someone gets a accurate heavy 25 cal slug mold, and you have a business.

Well, when you get those molds, I will take a set.

Working on getting us some slug molds.

Best claim I’ve heard is ~120fpe. First, I would (did) go with the TT tophat, then I’d find somebody who can shit ringed slugs, since that’s the only way they’re available.

Thx pablouk, will do that.

Thanks Hoot, but I was thinking more in the lines what should I get (parts wise: valve stem, hammer, spring…).to get the max out the stock valve without machining or replacing it. What kind of FPE with six or heavier ring slugs, can be done?

Pull the valve from the bottle. Remove the valve stem. With a Dremel open the ports on the stem a little, not too much though as this can weaken it and cause it to collapse with use. A little taper on the ports works well as well( imagine flowing water to give you an idea of how the air flows through the ports). Polish the ports, interior of the stem and exterior. Loosen the valve spring retaining nut on the back of the valve. Heavier hammer and slightly stronger spring will allow use of higher fill pressures.
