MCT groups 70 yards
Theses were shot in the wind at 70 yards Saturday morning. These two targets were my last shots before it started to rain again but at least at this point I had figured out where to aim in order to get the pellets on target. The second target is a 10 shot group using the H&N’s and you van see a nice cluster in the middle but some hot away. The wind was a challenge but it also made it more fun. My shots were being blown about 3″ to the left of the targets and I had to compensate. I don’t have a gun vise and instead was sporting my snowboarding pants so I could stay dry while I laid in the mud with the front of my rifle rested on a front bag for some steadiness. I was able to get about 30 minutes of shooting in before the rain started coming down again. All shots were on the high power setting.
These were H&N Barracuda Match 21.14 grain. These would group in a 1″ target while the JSB 18.1 would group in a 2″ target and the JSB Monsters were so bad I might as well have had my eyes closed. Don’t waste your money on JSB Monsters to shoot out of an MCT. Everyone has had the same results using the Monsters. They sure look good on paper for consistency but the MCT does not like them.

Those groups show off skill as well at 70 yards in windy conditions…Judging the wind is not the easiest thing to do -especially when shooting airguns — so hell yeah Varminter those are something to brag about—sweet shootin…
