Metal breech. Why not?
We see a lot of custom parts for these guns, hammers, valves, triggers, grips, springs and whatever you can think of.
However ibe never seen anyone use a metal breech, even tho the crappy plastic one that comes from the factory sometimes strips where the cocking knob enters, sometimes it cracks, etc. So i wonder,
Is there any reason why one should NOT use a metal breech?
I suppose a heavy one, like steel might “rob” some of the hammers energy, but how bout an alluminum one?

that shitty plastic. is in fact high quality delrin its super strong and i like it a lot

Here is the post that I bought my metal breech from. It is a very nice breech longer and very sturdy no chance of the knob ripping off with the blodnob super spring.
Ya got it backwards, the crappy knob’s threads are plastic and strip out in the metal breech, not the other way around. Gitcha self a custom cocking knob.
What are you talking about Buzzy? the breach is delerin, and the bolt is a stainless screw. Your confusing me! 😕 😉
I have a few PIC’s on this thread of my Condor.. It has the aluminum breech I made which is far from a perfect breech dude… I chewed it out is a better description… Anyway, have a look see here at mine… I also have the side out option on my bolt handle… I do have other plans for a totally different setup for this Condor once I get the regulated tank setup and start to find the balanced system for the Condor all over again…

I have a custom metal breech and it is very nice think it was made by blodnob…
I like the delrin breech. A member made a post here awhile back on how to upgrade the thread hole with an insert. It it a great idea
mine hasnt cracked nor has it striped the knob threads, i was just curious as to why metal ones are not too common, being that we (including me) have a tendency to “dislike” plastic on our guns and we usually replace them with “better” metal-made custom ones.
So i would think that metal breeches would be a lot more popular, yet i dont see any for sale at (for example) talon tunes, or anywhere else.
In fact, i think ibe never seen a metal breech for these guns.

??? the black plastic cilindrical part that connects the barrel with the top hat, wich slides forward when cocking the gun, and then back again after. Thats the breech right?
Aluminum breeches are common.

I think the main reason is because the “plastic” factory one is self lubing….I think.

It isnt bad until you get the super spring for the blodnob valve then it tears the knob right out eventually.
So that is why I got a metal one.
