Q:

micro meter tank

hey guys i got a ? about the micro meter tank, i hope someone can answer for me, i shoot a 18 inch talon .177 on co2, i know it’s shooting around 700 fps with 8.6 jsb’s. the other day tom gaylord tested a condor .177 with the micro tank and got around mid 800’s, the airforce site that tom did the original test for, only show the fps as 600, if that is right i could get around 750 and lot of shots without the temperature problems, am i thinking right on this, see i dont want all the power that available. or would it be better to get a standard tank and turn it way down, what i really want to know is the fps for an 18 inch 177 talon on the micro tank, thanks guys. you know i havn’t seen a nutria in weeks, the talon has cleaned house.

Not sure about the FPS, sorry. But if I were you I would use a micrometer tank over both CO2 and a standard tank turned way down. The micrometer tank is supposedly very consistent, and as you said HPA has none of the problems CO2 does.
