Micro Meter Tanks Problems
Hey Gents,
I just bought my second Micro Meter tank from Pyramyd and both times the tank bled out on the first shot on my Condor.
Anyone else have this problem? I checked the site it said it fits any Airforce rifle and at Pyramyd’s site some guy talked about how this tank is perfect for keeping his condor quiet.
I filled the first tank to 3000psi and the second to 2600. Both times the tank bled out.
What is going on?

Some micros that I worked on did not have enough valve seat spring pressure.

Thanks Tony. So just clamp the drill down on the tophat and spin it?
What about the valves? It won’t hold any air anymore.
Give the tophat a good spin with a cordless drill…both directions.

my valve sticks from time to time, the 1st time all I did was turn the powerwheel all the way up and bloom the whole 2800 shot out. I didn’t do that again, but I did take the stem out and clean it up and silcone it. Anymore when my valve needs grease it just does not shoot, only about 200fps. so I just pull the stem and silicone it again, and its good. I think AF is making these things just too tight and they should be aware of that by now.
Im sure somebody will chime in with more suggestions.
You mentioned the tank leaked after the first shots. It sounds like the valve stem is sticking.
With the empty tank, see how hard it is to push the valve stem into the bottle (by hand) and see if you can notice it feeling rough when it moves.
I have heard of this before, but do not recall what the fix was. The MicroMeter tank is supposed to be regulated, and I havent seen any drawings of it yet. Might not be a good idea to tear it apart, let AF handle it.
Its not feeling rough when i push the top hat down with my fingers. it must be faulty valves or something?
There are no warnings that you must shoot at a certain power wheel setting so everything must be business as usual.
I am looking forward to calling AirForce tomorrow and see what they have to say.

Did you turn the PW down to zero?
Do you have a stock hammer spring?
You might have to return that under warranty. Or you can open it up and check the spring retainer or put in a heavier valve spring.
Stock hammers and I had the power wheel settings at 5.2 on the condor and 7.5 on the Talon SS. Both those settings should not make the tank bleed out.
I am pretty bummed as I was looking to shoot more quietly. Pyramyd is going to think i am f-ing up.
I mean, the worst i could do is fill the tank too quickly, but I don’t think i did the second time.

i just filled the tank again and fired it on my Talon SS and it bled out again on the 3rd shot.
The first two shots leaked for a second or two, then on the third….over.
Have I forgotten something? Whats the deal?
