And I bought a set of parallels from little machine shop, I bought the package but not too happy with it:

I’m selling the vice because it’s too small for me; and the parallels are fine, but I think they are also too thin, I should have opted for the thicker, heavier set (although the heavy set would present problems when setting up a very thin piece to work on). The video is pretty good for beginners like me, although I watched it too late. I already learned a lot of it the hard way, by ruining some cutters and ruining some workpieces when the cutter hogs in because the headstock wasn’t clamped down :(…… etc etc. The price of education, *sigh*
