So get this, today here at work a coworker said “my Benjamin Sheridon pump .22 will shoot a 40grn pellet at 1340fps ” …..so needless to say we are now gonna have a shoot off tomorrow . I got my supervisor to bring in his crony and ill bring my untuned condor-SS and well see who’s too big for their britches …..

Excuse me, did he say he shot 40gr .22 pellets? Sounds like mythical pellets from a mythical gun! I’d not be surprised if he claims the gun is broken… You might want to bring a scale too.
Maybe he has the new gamo 4.0gr hyper unobtanium hollow point ballistic tip self propelled ultra shiny pellets too….

No I don’t know the specs but I’m shire someone here does…and yes I’ve done all the machine work on my gun…I got the barrel in the white from a local gun smith who was a buddy and retiring…oh and to make things funnier he told some of the other welders that his benji would do 1300fps on 15pumps
Interesting, do you happen to know the WL/AF barrel specs?
Did you do the machining work yourself?
Quite nicely with 8 lands and grooves and a 1 in 14 twist its not picky about pellet choice but I do lose a little velocity due to the extra rifling
A 24″ PB barrel? In the Talon? How does that work without the choke at the end?

That’s all part of the I don’t know what this valve is gonna do since its still in the break in stage and I wanna pull it apart all ready….but with my 24″ match grade powder burner barrel accuracy is not the issue just the velocity of my valve….but who cares it will he fun either way
Sub; Ensure your compeditor is shooting from a “dry” barrel. If the fella oils his barrel you may be faced with a dieseling gun. If so, the pumper will produce much higher velocities. AKULA
I wish I was there for that. I’ve got a Sheridan that I use as a dust collector. No way it can touch an AF rifle. 😉
I just read the box that my BS came in. On the back it says ” Velocity up to 685 fps .22 cal”
If your speaking from experience Walt I’d see a Doc… wait, were talking bout guns?
First beat him in the velocity department by cranking up your PW or put in an 18 or 24″ barrel…
Then back off the PW and shoot for accuracy…
If your going to humiliate he best cover all the bases. 😀 😉

That’s using calipers to measure with I took it over to inspection here at work and let Bruce check it with the optical comparitor and he got .21785….I love my job I’m running two cnc’s and making gun parts and they don’t care
