Q:

Modified Career 202s

hi every one & this is my first topic
i did some modification on my career 202s and i will show the results here
chrony test before modification with 77.9 gr

2900 psi

1- 950
2- 900
3- 880
4- 850
5- 806

refill 2900psi

1- 888
2- 861
3- 843
4- 822
5- 812

the firs thing i did since i got the gun was chrony test the first 5 shots i never got same result ever
the second 5 shots which is the usual velocity i get
so i figured it must be modified
first i machined an air port with a bigger hole and and replaced the original
machined a longer hammer and a heavier one
the original spring has 27 coils and almost 108mm so i changed that with 35 coils 150mm and a bit bigger wire size
then i shot 5 shot and i got the usual velocities
i checked again and the o-ring was damaged i replace it and here is the results with 77.9 gr

2900 psi

1- 1058
2- 1200
3- 1032
4- 952
5- 892

and since then i never got to the 1200 again but it is 1000+
i did cast some 105 gr colt bullets but didnt try that yet
and if any one has experience with the valve modification feel free to share , i am afraid touch it

i didnt get 1200 again , but i am getting 900+ now i think the spring lost some of its stiffness

I wonder what would happen if you get a lighter hammer, with a stronger hammer spring, and a stronger valve return spring. Your numbers may stay a little closer to say 950fps. Which is still very, very good..

i never played with the valves before i am afraid that something gets wrong
but if i use a lighter hammer / stronger spring / valve spring will that reduce power ?

guys, it does not bother you that these Korean PCP’s have barely 2mm tube walls? I took several of these apart, and the 202 is very appealing to me, but when I look at the air tube, I am concerned.

Same thing is true for the Sumatra’s.

But other then that the 202S is a fun gun to shoot.

ps. My buddy wanted me replace the buttstock on the 202S. We though one from Sumatra might fit or something custom. But I was not able remove the buttstock from the 202. Anybody tried to remove it on their 202?

not yet am still working on the my 9mm i just got it to 190 foot energy
i’ll have be working on that in next weeks
now my 909 shoots around 145 foot energy

i was woundering about your 909 .45 not the 202s 😕
