Q:

Mods for edguns

HI ALL
After the sucsess of the modified HST’s and after suggestions from ZOCOLOCO and others i have started this thread to generate interest in other modded items for EDGUNS and maybe CRICKETS, i do not think it would be appreciated if we started manufacturing items for TALON rifles but if there is enough demand and no objections i will give anything a go.
So i think the best way to proceed is that when you post you make a poll for and against items somthing like
Would you be interested in a modified CRICKET HST yes… no…
if we get enough votes I will ask for details length thread and any other details in a seperate thread where you can all pile in without confuseing this one.
To make it economical for Alex my partner selling edguns in the UK (and the guy with the engineering degree) we will be looking for around 50 YES votes as i am sure you can imagine haveing custom items made to order is not fast and not cheap so please have patience.
and you can thanks ZOCOLOCO for the idea to do this :8:

3 years ago, I made 7 of these. I kept one and I sent one to my air gun buddy Mamcrackin. I “loaned” the other 5 out to guys that were having trouble tuning their guns with the stipulation that they would return the tool after the gun was tuned. They all promised to send the tool back once they had the gun tuned.

I never got a single one back!

They must still be having trouble tuning their gun!

Sorry for the crappy drawing that shows the specs!

The tool screws onto the end of the air valve and then you turn the internal screw in to release the air pressure. Once you are absolutely sure that you have ALL of the air pressure out, you can remove the 3 screws that hold the air valve/regulator assembly in the air tube; insert the rod into the tool and then pull the assembly out.

I don’t have a patent pending on my tool so: feel free to copy and sell it.

IF you are a little uneasy copying and selling somebody else’s design, you can easily Pay Pal me a stipend and we will be all good! 😆

I am attempting to make a degas tool and the specks you provided in an earlier post showed the thread size as M12X1.0. I scoured the internet for a pipe coupling with that thread size that I could use to make the tool. Apparently on the entire planet earth no such pipe coupling exists. So my B plan is to find a coupling with a smaller thread size and tap it to get to the appropriate thread size. So I have two questions. 1) If I tap a brass fitting will the resulting threads be strong enough for its intended use? I know brass is soft and it may strip. 2) Is anyone aware of any metal part / fitting that has the M12X1.0 female thread size in it that I could use to make the part? Anyway, thanks in advance for the feed back and thanks for all the great postings. I have learned a lot from you input.

Cheers.

It´s worth the wait though. A well done piece and a great improvement over the stock adjuster.

Still waiting on mine 🙁

I got mine too…worked out great and looks just as nice.

Thank you tons…got it fast too!

Received my EdGun HST adjuster yesterday. Thanks Lyndon! Nice piece with excellent fit and finish and well worth the money. Now – get on with the equivalent for the Cricket ! 😆

Lyndon, I hit 40+ 20 years ago!

My word is as good as gold. When I say that I will do something, it will be done or, I will say why I couldn’t get it done!

I guess that I am too old fashioned, I expect everybody else to be good for their word also.

I will be gone in another 10-20 years and you people will have to deal with the way the world is changing.

I honestly feel sorry for my daughters and grandkids! They will have to deal with what is coming.

I bow for your wisdom, Sir ! And so should all . :8:

Well put Ted! That’s what my father used to always preach to me! ” Keep your word, bc a man is only as good as his word…if he isn’t worth that, he isn’t worth shit”, he’d say. 🙂

General update for you peeps
we currently have a design for the Cricket HST on the way to the manufacturers and the same with the larger volume sound moderator.
After receiving the drawing for the degassing tool we will be drawing one up this week and if there is enough interest we are looking at something like a 4-5 week turn around
We should have somthing for sale in another 2-3 weeks from this point wether it is a Cricket HST or a moderator so start saving the penny,s !! (or dimes and stuff)
Still open to more suggestions for Edgun mods possible even Talon mods if i am not stepping out of bounds Regards lyn.

That is excelent and more than enough detail i will pass this on to Alex ((the guy with the engineering degree )) and see what he can come up with.
I think you need to hit 40+ before you realise you never lend tools ! but sometimes we all lapse in judgment as a tree surgeon i dont have a tool under £400 i lerned a long tme ago not to lend tools specially at that price.
regards lyn.

How about a degassing tool for an Edgun? I have seen one custome made screw on degas tool on this site. I think there would be considerable interest.

Find me the link and i will have a look at it i saw one for another rifle the other day and thought it was a good idea since the capacity on the edgun at 12 ft lb is massive .
