Monsson storing…how do you leave it?
What is the official way that you are supposed to leave a FX Monsoon in your rifle case ? Cocked, one in the pipe and safety on ? Nothing in the pipe, magazine out, safety on ?

Gun pressurized, magazine out , and in a gun sock.
I leave mine with the magazine out, safety on and nothing in the pipe. Stored in a gun safe……with a loaded magazine close by.

Does it not say in the Monsoon’s manual?
YES – I know gun safety. And NO, I don’t have kids here to worry about. But YES – The Monsoon is a semi-automatic that is always cocked if pressurized, and it’s pressurized. I can pull the magazine out and leave it like that with the safety on.
What I need is Monsoon owners to respond and let me know how they leave theirs.
Like the wiser man said, all guns should always be considered loaded.

Monsoons are aluminum, like the Typhoon/Whisper.
Yes,I should have added leave some air in the gun to act on the valve/seals.I own mainly Rapids and never leave them with empty tanks.
Isn’t the monsoon a gun to where when the tank is installed the gun itself is pressurized ?
Maybe that’s what the tack driver was getting at.
My logun, I keep it pressured up, better for the seals.
Just like a pump gun ie. 1377, h9., I keep them with a couple pumps in them.
Our airforce guns, all the sealing action is with in the tank valve it self, which you wanna keep pressure in the tank.

Common sense says you don’t leave it in it’s case,that’s when rust gets it’s chance.But if you have to store it then it’s de cocked with nothing in the barrel,and run an oily rag or silicon cloth over metal surfaces.
All guns are loaded, otherwise what use are they?
I’m not saying it’s cool to leave a gun loaded, but I do it myself once in a while. 🙄 😳
First of all, I don’t know anything about Monsoons, but if there’s a way to de-cock them, you should figure out how.
Otherwise, in order to prevent “issues”, I keep a plastic ring from a milk jug cap handy. If the gun is loaded and de-cocked, the ring goes on the cocking knob to remind me that there’s a round in the bore.
Is that a serious question? Or maybe you’d need to ask the parents of the curious child who found it in the former state.
