Q:

More Horsepower from a Talon

I currently own an 18″ Stock Talon and I LOVE it.

I would like to get just a little more horsepower out of it to increase my range on Pigeons ( 55-70 effective yards ) Would I see any worth while increase if I put a High Flo tank with a heavier Striker weight.
I am currently shooting 16.2 grain Predator Polymag.
Fill is 2600 psi P.W. 10. 7.
(The gun love’s em) Best as far as accuracy!

The Pigeons are getting smart and are sitting on a rail at about 60 yards high on top of a large grain silo. Hopefully I will have a little surprize for them

The farthest confirmed kill so far has been 48.5 yards. The Pigeon dropped like a stone, but like I said his buddies are getting smarter and are trying to stay out of range.

I need to stay with the 18 inch barrel as it is set up to be quiet. Thanks to Tony and Talon Tunes!

A longer barrel would also increase your FPS and effective range. 😉

what you suggested is probably what you want to do, you can work over your stock valve but probably won’t gain enough for what you are wanting to do! Get a high flow valve, if you can afford it buy a new high flow tank and valve that way you can go back to your Talon tank and just screw on the high flow valve and tank, sight things in and you are ready to rock to 100 yds if needed 😯
