I just saw a commercial for a 20/20 episode entitled “If only I had a gun…”.
From the promo for it, it wasn’t going to be pro gun – Looked like they gave an untrained school girl a paintball gun and put her as a defensive player in an active shooter scenario…. they cut to a short sound bite of her after saying she’d feel lucky if that was real if she was leaving in an ambulance.
Jackasses is all I have to say.

Wow. If only a few folks working in the immigration center had possessed
CCWs and were carrying in their place of employment, perhaps then only the
whackjob would be dead. Instead… 😥
Gun control lessons in school would actually be a very good idea. I have tought a lot of people to shoot, and it’s clear most of them have never held a real weapon in their life. If nothing else a lot of accidents could be avoided.
But can you imagine with all of the liberal teachers how fast that idea would be shot down?

Well then, I guess to that reporter that also means that every drunk driver was legally entitled to drive his car impared….. WTF!!!
Our real problem is how to keep those who would be irresponsible with their guns from doing this kind of shit…. Some give no warning at all.
But… if everyone had a gun… and knew how to use it. This shit would not get so far as it does either…. Maybe gun training in school should be required along with sex ed and permits should be issued with condoms. ❓ ❓

Because some people, for whatever insane reason, believe that by taking guns away, no one will ever die again, and the garden of eden will come out. Animals will stop killing each other. Everyone will love one another. We will go skipping along with the cute deer and coyote and singing Kumbaye and everyone would live happily ever after.
Read that, some people are just naturally stupid and don’t seem to comprehend reason.
I despise idiots. Anti gun nuts (rightly called so) are at the top of my list of idiots to hate.

There were something like 5 mass killings in the U.S. in the past month alone and I believe it has little to do with the availability of guns. If any one of these people did not have a gun they would have used a bomb or poison gas, burned the place down, or whatever but they, most likely, would have accomplished their demented objectives.
This is indicative of a greater, underlying problem in our society. Every time I turn on the news…someone’s being murdered or raped or beaten. They say that violent crime spikes in tough economic times, but this level is ridiculous!!! My foreign friends use to tell me that this happens more in the U.S. than in any other country but I have no stats to verify.
What prompts people to resort to this kind of behavior?
