most accurate hunter period
what is it? Condor is remarkably accurate for my needs (compared to rws springers I had) I have held a daystate never shot one. edgun? medium power (kill groundhogs of squirrels). I am sure this will start a healthy debate. I am interested in my next gun , I have a talon ss and a condor now. I love the real look of a daystate. 😀

Believe it or not my cheap S1K shot this group at 70 yards
I can’t shoot a group this good every time but it is possible with this rifle.
Excellent group. I give Gamo’s a hard time, but they certainly CAN be good shooters. Give them a little love on the trigger and work the guts a bit and they can do well…. or just learn the gun.
and there is a perfect example of what I’m talking about. The 34 PP is one of the LIGHTER guns out there and is generally regarded as a good field gun because of it. In contrast, my HW97LK is close to 12lbs scoped…. the 34 is a lightweight…. but this fellow found it too heavy. Not saying he’s right or wrong, but just to give an example of what I was talking about earlier where one person may prefer something different from another.
I had an RWS Mod 34 Panther Pro. It was very accurate from a bench, but it was way to heavy to shoot off hand, which makes it a poor hunter. I sent it back and got a Talon SS 😈
Yes, almost any high quality rifle is more accurate than the shooter is. I think it is more important to find a good rifle and shoot just that one rifle 90% of the time. Some guns will surprise you with their accuracy.

Laugh if you want to but, but my HPA 2250B carbine Crosman at 47 yards will put 18.21 gr H&N crow magnum pellets in side A “quarter” size circle time after time after time after time….. ( 32FPE) 18 inch barrel.
x2. I had a cheapish springer that was lazer accurate. But ONLY once I had learned how it liked to be held. Same goes for my Talon and Condor.

Too many variables here…
Most high quality airguns are inherently accurate enough to be indistinguishable by the average shooter. Spring guns included.
Now… how accurately a given person is able to shoot a certain gun is where it gets tricky. If you and I were at the same level as far as shooting ability, I still may be able to shoot a certain gun better than you due to my personal preferences in ergonomics.
That said, for offhand shooting, my Daystate Air Ranger is hard to beat. The ergonomics suit me well. Same for my R9…. the stock on it now changes the ergonomics to something that fits me.
There really is no definitive answer here….. Some folks will say that PCP’s are more accurate than springers… I say bull shit. I’ll give you that PCP’s are easier to shoot accurate than springers, but thats about it. Some folks will prefer a lighter gun to shoot more accurately, some will prefer a heavier gun. All depends on the shooter.

Thanks. I have had several Gamos that are shit but this rifle and their price has kept me interested. The S1K in the pic has a tune kit from RFM, the “Gold” trigger, and thousands of shots to smooth out.
