Laws of Physics are not easily overcome, I agree with you Elmer. PetirM with all his talent, can not make the Mutant seem beautiful to the eye without including an image of the resulting target. I had a difficult time accepting the Mutant on looks alone, I WAS WRONG!
I have owed many PCP’s but none of the others exceed the performance of the Mutant in functionality and accuracy. I own the Mutant standard and hope the Mutant in 25 caliber exceed Mike’s, JD Walker induced musings!! :2cents:

Sorry to burst your bubble but a .25 Mutant Short would be loud as hell unless they redesigned the breech to give more space for a fatter shroud by increasing the gap between barrel and reservoir and/or go with an eccentric moderator by modifying the scope rail. My Edgun R3M Ultra Short .25 has quite a bark to it. Sure a Mutant shroud is probably a more effective design than an Edgun but there’s limitations on suppressing the power of a .25 unless you’re willing to sacrifice lowering FPS/FPE. A .22 at ~30 FPE vs a .25 at ~50 FPE is a huge difference. You can’t suppress all that power using the same shroud/LDC and expect similar results.
Btw, a Mutant mag and an R3M mag is the same diameter. In .25, there’s only enough space for 9 pellets in an R3M mag. I don’t think Taipan will redesign the exterior dimensions of their breech as it functions very well as is. The lever is butter smooth and indexing is perfect. Like Dman has hinted to, they will probably modify some internal parts to handle the power of a .25 yet remain efficient.
