Q:

Mutant Shorty .17

I would like to have it in the .17. And was trying to get Peter to order me one. Told me he was going to order a few next order. That was the February 28. Not sure if there was ever a next order.
Seems things have cooled down some. So who would be my best bet of getting a shorty in .17 now?

Taipan Air Rifles

Where are you located? (what country?)

Found a place overseas that offers a standard in .17. I fired off a e mail asking if they have shorty.

I like it too for using less air and it is enough power for small game with the heavier JSBs (10.34s). I was surprised to hear someone say a while back that their fingers were too large to handle them and load magazines. I had never heard of that before but I can see it.

Wonder if we made it to 10 yet lol.

I’m still in for a .17 mutant shorty!

There would need to be a significant number of interested people before I ordered any more Mutants (due to cost of importation). I don’t see the demand at present to make it affordable for all involved. If we could get 10 or so people, I’d look into it.

should change TGAG motto on line.
WELCOME to TOPGUN-AIRGUNS. We will help you pick the airgun YOU want as long as 10 other people want it to, not just sell you what’s in our inventory.

Mike, Why make such an unfair statement? For anyone to import only one gun is cost prohibitive. It cost a lot of money not only to ship, but customs, insurance, brokerage fees etc. A dealer would lose significantly to bring in only one .177 gun and I don’t see others asking. If I knew there was a want, I’d happily fill that need, but importing one gun is a significant loss. I can do it on the next purchase (if they even exist then), but not for one person. As i said,if people want them, they can call me. So far, no takers.

Unfair!
you are the one who made the statement about if 10 other people want them. I just thought it would figure nicely in TGAG motto. I totally understand ordering and shipping one airgun thing is prohibitive. but what’s it hurt to ask a company that your doing thousands of dollars of business with to toss in a couple .177 to see how well they sell.

It’s got to be a short in .177. 😛

It would be nice if the manufacturer was large enough to front a demo Short .177 for the US in someone’s order. We should be a pretty good market size at this point. 😉

I still have .22 Shorties in stock, but if anyone needs Standards, I’ll put in an order for Standards and see if I can get a .177 specially made. While the request for this partiuclar .177 is Short, What’s the preference for .177? Let’s take a poll.

Short or Standard .177? (If it COULD be made).

Omg

Hmmm. Hard to tell – maybe an inch or more? A 5 shot group might be acceptable. Hopefully, there is an alternative barrel now. The .22 Korean chokes seem a bit oversized from comments.

Those are JSB 10.34s?

How many shots you get per fill set that low?

Coda… The Korean barrel has no choke at all. its actually a loose bore.

Not bad then. Nice shot count.

that’s approx half inch more or less

yes 10.34gr JSB 4.52mm

220b to 120b

+60 shot

more or less
