is there ever going to be a .177 or should I consider a cricket?

Try the Cricket, when or if the Mutant comes out with a 177 sell the Cricket and buy a Mutant. IMO once you shoot a Cricket your not going to want to sell it. Try and find one with skeleton stock, they are lighter than the standard wood and synthetic.

You only live once, get both. A Cricket .177 now and a Mutant .177 later.
