My .20 cal shorty Mutant Mods.
Wanted a flatter shooting pellet and more bigger then a .177 that easier to handle. This LW barrel came from my cricket standard—> vary accurate and wanted the shorty more accurate at longer range. set at 895fps with 13.7g JSB. testing for accuracy at the range this weekend. That’s a Logun QGS LDC with CF tape. barrel is 12″ OAL. I did all the mods my self and the 1st time with a lathe, the probe took the longest to make in stainless, the barrel just had to cut to length, cut smaller OD to slide in the action, drill TP hole, rim out the smooth bore and polish, there was no oring groove on the barrel so that was easy, I don’t know how to cut an ID oring groove yet!
was an accomplishment that I didn’t need a machinist! :biggrinn:
Have a .25 cal barrel not being used—–that’s next!

This mod I cut the rod 2mm at the transfer port passage, I gain about 20fps. now up to 910fps with 13.7g for 28 shots from 230 to 152b. Love the flat shooting .20 only one mil dot difference from 25y to 85y
next up is to test a 12″ LW .22 choke barrel that I got from Oak. I don’t think it will be faster but more accurate, with this mode it will help in the speed department.
