LOL- thats messed up…… seriously please DON’T do this.

YEs, Joe is 100% right; please don’t do that. I forgot that not everyone knows that dieseling, whilst cool, is also dangerous. THere was a video of a guy on Youtube, and someone here I think, who made a video of a rifle that he had put together just for dieseling and he squirted WD40 into it after every few shots.

thanks for all help i put a few washer behind the spring and will chrono it tomorrow

befor and after i shoot it with some ETHER

A good spring, polished & fitted internals and some good Molly based lube should get you somewhere.

You can polish the inside where the piston and spring slide.
Also Macarri used slippery grease on the sliding part of the spring and
sticky grease on the inside to control ringing and rattle.

The sliding areas on the trigger can be polished for a better feel.
(Careful, no going back if you remove to much)

I don’t think Jim Macarri’s site is up anymore but he had assorted springs
in old days. Some were shot peaned. I took my Macarri springs it to be cryo’ed.

ill pick up a micrometer this weekend and take some measurement on it, i am not expecting a big gain just something to tinker with,
i am getting a 2240 so that will be my “fun gun” for indoor shooting this is just an experiment if i can gain using the cheapo pistol i am going to try to mod my gamo 440
the varience in the shots with this pistol is 45 fps which i think is alot

Measure the ID and OD of the spring. I may have something laying around you can cut down and use.

It will be a good exercise in springer work… but dont expect miracles. Those Springer pistols like that simply do not respond well to modification. You can smooth them out, maybe gain a few fps, but not much more.

That spring looks pretty nasty – quite kinked up….

Search the net for springer tuning and maybe follow those directions to clean it up a bit… at the least it should shoot a bit nicer with maybe some increase in velocity.

how do i know what size strength spring i have?
i wanna go to hardware store and get stronger one but i dont know where to start except just feel which one is stronger
any ideas???
