Q:

My Airwolf MCT is in the mail

I just got the call today from AoA that my Daystate Airwolf MCT is being shipped out! I am really looking forward to seeing how this baby performs. Daystate claims that this is a 40 ft/lb air rifle. I am curious to see if this claim is right or at least close. I also want to see just how flat the power curve really is and more than anything else, I want to see how accurate the MCT is. I’ll post pics when she arrives while the battery charges. 😕

Once she arrives, I will post shot strings using JSB 18.1 and H&N Baracuda Match, 21.14 grain pellets. I decided to buy the H&N’s instead of the Beeman Kodiaks because I have a feeling the H&N Barracudas will be a lot easier to find in the near future.

I am excited to finally have the two air rifles I wanted, the Edgun and the MCT. If the MCT is as good as I have heard, this pair will be my dream team. I tried to decide a few months ago which one I wanted and couldn’t make up my mind because they are so different from each other. The easiest thing to do was to buy them both. 😆

OH man, What torture.

Show them some ID and demand to have your property.

It’s really killing me! The MCT has arrived at the local UPS facility but UPS says they are not doing home deliveries today because of New Years Eve. I called customer service to see if I could just pick it up but they say UPS has to make a first attempt delivery first.

I am about to leave and go to UPS and attempt to talk someone into letting me pick my package up otherwise I have to wait until Monday. We’ll see if I have any luck finding someone who can think outside of the box. Do you think they’ll be more sympathetic if I pretend to cry? 😆

Tell them you are going on vacation and no one will be there to get it.

You can pick it up at the HUB the are full of shit.

MArk it down……soon you will have a gun capable of 300 high setting shots where you charge it, dump a tin of Kodiaks in and go…

With all these advanced technologies in airguns, I can imagine the future holds a semi-auto with 50 shot mags coupling with 200 shots per fill. Wow!!!

If you have the old MVT, you’ll be able to unplug the old chrono and replace it with the newly designed chrono is what I’ve heard or you can just buy the new MVT

quote Varminter:

I hear that Daystate has brought the MVT back into production with a newly designed chronograph.

I contacted Daystate and you are correct, they have resolved the chrony problem and will ONLY release the MVT in a FAC model. So we’ll see on that one. I might get one and try it out.

Damn dude, please lie to us (me) and tell us she’s a POS and you really regret buying her! I have an EDgun on the way and can’t possibly justify another high dollar airgun but damn the MCTs are appealling.

My wife has been so understanding, and even supportive, but it might be too much if I start talking about buying another one that’s even more expensive than the EDgun.

Anyway, congratulations!!!! I hope you enjoy her, as I’m sure you will. Please give us the full scoop as soon as possible.

I said the same thing when I decided to buy my Edgun. Stop reading about the MCT or you’ll be in trouble! This is a quote from Bruce responding to the Airgun of the Decade topic on the Yellow Forum.

“180 shots at 30 FPE from one fill? And all with less than 10 FPS difference through the entire string? Nothing else even comes close. You may not like the electronics or what ever but you can not deny nothing else even comes close in performance.”

Do you see why I had to get the MCT even though I was completely head over heals for my Edgun? 180 shots with a extreme spread of 10 fps? That kind of performance is outragous but also seems to good to be true. I guess I’ll find out soon. I also hear that you can get 130 shots on the full power setting of 40 ft/lbs! I have also heard the number 90 thrown out there but even 90 shots at 40 ft/lbs would be amazing. I cannot wait to see all this for myself. I will give everyone a true and honest report when she arrives. The only thing I don’t have is a rest to see what she can really do as far as groups go.

My Edgun is a delight and a airgun shooter’s dream when it comes to performance, accuracy, mobility, and quietness. I could not just own the MCT and not have an Edgun because I love the Edgun’s length, weight, accuracy, performance, and quietness. Once I shoot and test the MCT, I might decide that I can’t own the Edgun without the MCT. The MCT gives me a high powered multi-shot, with the performance and accuracy of the Edgun, but with more shots per fill and maybe even more consistency. Between these two, I should have almost any situation covered and I’m hoping to stop buying air rifles. Well at least for a while anyway. 😀

Fucker!!! Lucky Fucker!!! 😀
