Q:

My best group ever with anything .20 MOA/280 yards

Hard to measure this as it is stacked . 560 FPE hit on that little mark.

Yeah, for some reason, some one whacked the corner with a hammer and displaced some of the molds metal. I can’t for the life of me figure out why the hell this was done? 😕 Probably a worker at NOE that shouldn’t have been monkeying around with it in the first place! 👿

Tag,

The 1-10 is what I have used for all my long range Pepsi Challenge video shots.

It is not quite as accurate as the 1-14 with the 257420, but it is noticeably more accurate with the NOE 80 grain bullet and of course stabilizes the 100 grain NOE bullet where the 1-14 does not, at all.

These day I do not use the 1-14 and it sits on my bench unused.

The 100 grain NOE mold I had, I returned to the factory after breaking off the sprue plate screw trying to remove the sprue plate, I sent it directly to Mike after the NOE owner tried unsuccessfully to remove the screw, Mike advises that the attempt to remove the screw rendered the mold unsalvageable, read what you want in that.

The NOE 100 grain bullet is very accurate in the 1-10 barrel, but I can’t recommend the 4 cavity mold design that is used, perhaps a 2 cavity would be better and my future NOE molds will be two cavity, and I can only see one more NOE mold at the present time in my future, a 250 grain spitzer in .338 and that is a while in the future for a project.

I really hate aluminum molds.

I have a 125 grain RCBS mold, that J Bowman is now using, on order from Midway, but it is back ordered. With pure lead it cast out over 130 grain, so I should be around 128 with 20-1 lead.

VERY-VERY impressive! 😀

I’m really hoping that the NOE moded 81 Gr. that Old Goat is sending for testing will be a tack driver. I have high hopes for it! These groups are very encouraging!

Happy Birthday to you!!

Good to see some results from that barrel. I ended up getting TJs 1-10 for my Condor .257 build. Hoping I made a good choice there, a not much data on that barrel yet except for what you have done RC. Thanks for posting that.

Tag,

That was the 1-10. I really think I have found a great combination with the two bulbs, the muzzle break and the 81.5 NOE.

I did a 4 click correction just now and fired at the gong, that bullet mar appears right behind the reticle intersection.

Very impressive 😯 1n14 or 1n10 barrel?
