The Vortex Razor II 4.5-27×56 is probably the best value within it’s price range based on all the features it offers in addition to HD glass. It’s heavy has a tank @48.5 oz but that’s the only downside. Lots of features in-excess for airgun use but if you have the funds to afford one and don’t lug your airgun through the woods, it’s a sweet scope. If I shot from a bench rest but didn’t want a competition target scope and could afford one, this would be a top pick. Street price is $2,500 USD. Sure you can get a March 3x-24×42 illuminated for about $2,700 or 3x24x52 for closer to $3K but the Razor’s xmas tree reticle is a solid option. Vortex’s VIP warranty puts it ahead for me as March is only 5 yrs but I’m sure they’ll still take care of you afterwards. The benefit of the March is it’s super light in comparison. Glass on these top tier scopes is like comparing grains of salt to find which one is slightly bigger than the other. Once you shop for these price scopes, you looking for whatever features and reticle suits needs. If money wasn’t an issue, I’d get an S&B 5-20×50 Ultra Short. Reticle choices aren’t ideal for an airgun but again, it’s a sweet scope. Of course, it will only set us guys from the states back a cool $4K. It’s probably a tad cheaper in Europe. The Sphur mount on that Vortex and Atlas bipod seals the deal. It’s be best equipped FX Impact I’ve seen to-date!
