Q:

my butt wiggles!

lol. im sure its been addressed before, but does anybody have a suggestion for an easy way to remove the rear rubber sleeve on the tank so i can access the rear plate to stabilize it? and no, i dont have money for a wokbutt at the moment 🙁

i heated mine with a heat gun, hair dryer should work, and sprayed some soapy water in around the front edge as i pryed my finger under the lip of the cover then worked my finger around the bottle as i pulled the cover down working around and slowly worked it off.spraying more soapy water as i worked it

heated the cover, then sprayed the soapy water on bottle to push it back on

wok an his shameless self promotion. 😆 i do agree that the plate is a little wimpy, but i dont believe mine is broken, the rubber is just slightly back further than it should be, allowing for wiggle room. i like the blowgun idea, sounds like a winner…

Dog is correct, you can also use a hair dryer to heat it enough to get it to loosen slightly and pull off. But, you will find the plastic plate is broken at the thread insert. You will need to replace the plastic disc with something more substantial.

You will need access to an air compressor and use a blow gun to get it off.
