quote Sir Ville:

Wanna have a real good aftermarket reg for yours ? Buy the UK made Lancet. Really well made, steady stuff.
I installed one on my friends FX Cyclone and it is awesome.

A friend has one, he said it has a greater adjustable range 50-160 bar IIRC.
Nice shirt by the way …….

Nice T-shirt Ville πŸ˜‰ IΒ΄m satisfied with my regulator.

PS. Pellets still not come πŸ˜₯

quote octavius:

IΒ΄m curious why some regulators could work with 16 discs and some need 17 discs… Is there some other change in body of the regulator? When I will have reg. test. πŸ™‚ I check what pressure I have. Then I will try settings with 16discs to check if I got same pressure as with 17 discs.
Gregor so you said 125bar was not so good? What about try 17 discs and 125bar ?

PS I have something you don’t πŸ˜‰

My Cricket 22 std still had a very slow leak in the hi pressure side of the AT, I used A70 O-rings.
So I open the AT and change the 2 Large O-rings to harder A75, the one on the fill cap and one on the reg hi pressure side of reg only.
So far since then no leak at all not even any lube oozing out of the small leak indicator holes like before.

I also opened the reg, cleaned, changed the 2 small O-rings inside and reset to 125 bars.
Mines came with 16 disc inside, see here.

My other friend has a Cricket 25 cal and his has 17 disc and with 16 disc it can be set to 125 bar.
But he like hi power, so I set it to 135 bar.
Maybe they should trade regs ?

I will ask them and see what they say.

That’s interesting Jan.

I work on my friends Cricket 22 cal std on the weekend.
I took out the extra disc and with the 16 disc tried to set his reg to 125 bar.
It seems that it closed around 127 bar max.
I set it at 125 bar but we’re not sure if that’s good, it’s so close to not closing.
So, I set it to 120 bar and set valve spring to ΒΌ turn.
With JSB 18g it maxes out at 870 fps and not 880 fps that he wanted.

Thinking of adding a shim/spacer, maybe or put back the extra disc ?
