Hi Awny I added little bit pressure on regulator. I did it in 3 steps. At first I have loosened regulator at 1/4 CCW from standard start point but speed was very high 945fps/288mps with this setting is air consumption very high. Second I loosen regulator at 1/8 CCW from standard start point now I got velocity about max 919fps/280mps but It was still a lot I wanted better air efficiency. Third I loosen regulator at 1/16 CCW from standard start point and now it is my target velocity with max speed 896fps/273mps.
When I measure spread with this speed 896fps I did not get so flat strait line as with 889fps/271fps because bellow pressure 120bar speed dropped more faster. I decide to loosen slightly HST CCT to 889fps/271mps and I got practically flat strait line from 200 – 110 bar

This truly very nice string!!! 3.9m/s spread over 4 mags !!! What was the stdev?
I did similar one couple of days ago and had a spread of 4.9m/s over the 4 mags (4.0m/s if I exclude one outlier). The average was 270.3 and stdev was 1.06. I think we have very close settings!!!

Yes, Ville I heard about that sieries good references from guys here. Unfortunattely in my local shop is only 2013 years series. I had not chance yet shoot with 18grains pelet produced in 2014 y.
I just bought two Tins of Heavies for my .177. The batch is 3400014, so week 34 2014. Kinda fresh ! 😆
No I did not measure yet. Tommorow I will try it. But these better pellets I have only coupe of them.
Have you measured the head sizes from those two batches ??
P.S All of a sudden it´s damn cold here too. 4 degrees Celsius … 😯

I have two kind of pellets series 15000013 and 20000013 both are ok but one is better 🙂 Check it out which? 🙂
All pellets are JSB heavy 18grains of course. Distance 50 meters weather condition cold 3°C / 37°F Quite calm evening.
The firs 5 shots are re-leading of barrel after cleaning.
I have noticed the 20000013 series is going more tighter to the barrel than 15000013 series…
Yep. Takes time,patience,air and pellets but “the setting” is there to be found. You have found yours . 😉
Thanks Ville. Better is impossible I think… Key to success is really to find maximum speed with HST for regulator pressure as Ernest already said. There is the best regulator behavior.
