Yep good idea i will do it today 🙂
Hi Jan,
I polished my hammer on my Compact a wail ago, but I don’t know if it made any difference within the shot consistency.
I polished the mag indexing pin, it made the mag indexing much smoother and less ware on the mag indents too.

Today I polished my hammer. I started with 800 water sand paper and finished with 1500. Now it has glossy finish like mirror.
Yes, when outside Is under minus let´s say -5°C and I bring the gun from +15°C it´s slightly out. It´s necessary equalize temperature and shoot after 5 minutes.
Good question. I’m not about to pick mine in pieces so maybe someone here can answer to that.
You know what I interested? What dimension of TP a Vulcan has ?
Very difficult indeed .. 🙁
When you try to think about it it sounds really crazy. Make barrel TP let´s say 4mm and valve TP make 4,5mm and breech TP for sure 5mm – like in the circus!! 😡 😡 It was very difficult make same TP´s for all tails…
A very good question …
Surely having the same size on everything would be optimal? Say for example 4,5mm barrel tp, 4,5mm breech tp, 4,5mm valve tp?
Why are they different?
Hi Cricket,
yes I already contacted him. He advice:
1/ Not home to measure the hole, loosen VS till only 1/2 turn spring tension if already there, get a metal HSTA to compress HS more. Make sure TP hole is aligned.
2/ Enlarge TP and angle grind the firing valve between valve seat to TP exit. That should get you another 25+fps more
and here is shot string from today:
It´s with regulator pressure set at 140bar – average 880fps
Very interesting, I wish my barrel tp was the same size as the rest of the transferports.
How’s it going Oct? Have you contacted Ernest Rowe yet?

My .22 will ship tomorrow to sir ville, then he will tune it for me and what not. After that I’ll have it and hopefully the weather will subside a bit so I can do some serious shooting 😀
The firs thing I’ll do is mount a Atlas rail so the bipod will fit.
