My damaged JSB’s from pyramid, updated with targets
And i must say i am a bit disappointed, there are allot of bent and damaged pellets in most of the tins, the three 18 grain tins were fine, but the 14.3 grain pellets had damage in all three tins, the 15.9 had damage in two of the three tins.
I don’t know if this is acceptable or not, or if i am being to picky. But the first pellets i ordered from Pyramid quite a while back did not have any damaged pellets in the jsb tins at all, as a matter of fact i think the pellets were allot better looking, the skirts were all perfect, and these have allot of deviation and slight imperfection from being perfectly round.
I mean the first Jsb pellets i received were perfect, i was impressed with how good they looked and how perfectly round the skirts were.
Here is a pic with a quick go thru on pulling out the pellets with dented or crushed skirts, pellets in the lids above tins are damaged.
Should i pitch a bitch, or let it slide. These pellets are similar weight as the first batch, and the size is right on also, i have not shot them yet.
Oh , and the premiers that came with this batch are die C , and my first batch of Crosman Premier were Die A . They are similar weight, and sizeas the Die A . will have to see about the groups.

Nope haven’t shot any, i will keep them separate for a test, when i get a chance.
If i hadn’t gotten the first batch of Jsb pellets in such perfect shape i wouldn’t be surprised now i suppose, It was my first order from Pyramid , and it was when i first bought the gun so i bought a tin of everything, and a sleeve of Kodiak, because everyone raved about them.
All the pellets i have tried i was able to get to shoot acceptable in the condor except some undersized gamo pellets , that would not shooot for crap, but the gamo pellets that were sized bigger shot great . As a matter of fact i like the gamo hunter allot it expands well in game and makes a better kill than the crosman hp i think. but because of the 2 tins of gamo hunters i bought that were under sized , i don’t want to get stuck with bad shooting pellets. I did go to cabels and buy 2 more tins of gamo hunters to have on hand , but i took my calipers and measured them to make sure they were good. 😀
The JSB’s have such a thin skirt, it’s not unusual for them to be bent….Good news is that once the blast of air hits that bent skirt, it straightens it out, skirt fills out to conform to barrel and pellet is on it’s way!!! Like Pablouk said. unless the skirt is REALLY deformed, the accuracy won’t be affected.. at least that has been my experience..
Can’t expect perfection with a $0.025 piece of lead…. 🙄
Have you tried shooting the bent skirt pellets? Mine fly just fine as long as they aren’t too bad.

you would think the choke would clear it up, but no…NO gamo pellets shoot well from my bird. im talking 1/2 inch at 10 yards!! i been shooting 25 of my 27 years on this earth, i dont think its me. they all came from the gamo sampler, maybe those are made on shit dies, i dunno. but my condor is very pellet tolerant, even does silver arrows very well.
