my goodness but the HB topics died away PDQ here
what happened, guys? Not many new posts for the Hummingbird on these forums. Too cold or what?

I talked to WWAG about a week ago and they are looking for a new shipment and don’t know the delivery time. I think it was Steve that I talked to and he said that they would notify those on the ‘money order list’ when the hummers arrive.
Anyway, I think there’s not much discussion on the hummers yet because they are so new on the market. So many different guns on the market that sometimes I get to the point that I just want one of each…LOL
Yes. I know I’ve only had it for a short period of time but, my initial impressions and experience has been very positive and certainly fun! I loved the crickets and this is yet another great addition. The accuracy is there, the bird is slender and light weight with good balance. Overall i’m pleased and look forward to spending more quality time with the bird.
I see the same qualities in the Bird as you mention. I’m waiting on my stock (which Peter overlooked after repairing the breech seal and a seal in the regulator). It arrives tomorrow. I’ve been going through a process to reduce my number of airguns to just a couple, and the Bird is one of two PCPs I now own. The other is a Parker-Hale Phoenix, in pieces at the moment. The Bird is my perfect urban PCP for the reasons you mention. It will be a good pest eliminator and a great plinker. I intend to mark the setting on the regulator so I can shoot at a low power setting when I want to (I shoot in my basement too). It might be of interest to know that Peter says it’s best to use the regulator to reduce power rather than adjusting the hammer spring. So, Ernest’s video on adjusting it is a great tutorial to have access to.
I have a great friend who’s made a small brass sleeve to fit over the cocking-bolt handle so as to provide a lower contact pressure point for my finger. It should be here by Wednesday. I’ll see how it works out. It will be held in place by a small grub screw. It might even add a nice appearance touch to it as well, but mainly it’s for cocking comfort. Can’t wait to see it.
Post some super groups when you can. It will be a while for me before I can get to a range.

Hi Darryl,

All I can say is that it puts a smile on my face. I’ve been having fun with that little bird. I originally ordered a silver finish but, decided to go black with black synthetic stock.
Goodness, that’s great to read. :biggrinn: Meeting all your expectations, is it? It is a neat gun with nice features: left side cocking bolt handle, very nice magazine (which is pretty easy to install with just a little practice), and I find the balance and weight made it easier to keep a sight picture (though not necessarily hold dead-on). The CZ barrels seem to be the equal of any airgun barrel out there (judging from reports around the airgun web). Here’s to a long and enjoyable shooting experience for us. :18:
WWAG did get the first shipment in and has been sending the preorders out. I know because mine arrived on Wednesday. I just started shooting mine this Friday.

Larry, I thought WWAG got a shipment in not long ago, saying it would test each one before sending ut out the door. Maybe it sold that allotment out already? 😮 But yes, a good sign with none on sale atm.

So far none for sale…waiting on shipment to be imported to WWAG.

Larry maybe you’re right. Plus, it is cold out now. I think I’ve seen only one group posted on the Yellow. I guess more info will get out in due time. Since mine has been repaired I’ve yet to have time to put it through it’s paces.
