I’ve recently changed my old S410 Xtra FAC and got a new S400-SL Xtra FAC. It’s a .22 version with a beech stock.
Just wrapped some vinyl to tube, bought it in a RC shop, they did’t have carbon fiber, so I used the Kevlar version. And I’ve oredered a carbon fiber tail boom to use as a shroud 😆
And it also has one of those chinese bipods from Ebay, good purchase! For £9 couldn’t ask for more…
Next week I’m going to make a new shroud interior, the work I’ve seen here has inspired me.
I’d like to remark that I’m very pleased with my AAs, they’ve never given me much troube, it’s just that I’m a little picky 😆

Next there’s a gun I’m designing. It’s a test gun for an electronic based valve, using a solenoid, like the one’s Daystate manufacture. I’m designing the mechanical part, and a friend of mine from college it’s designing the electronics. I’ve recently start to machine the parts, here is the tube end cap, it’s threaded for a PB Foster male and it uses a S400 Classic tube, there’s also a pic of the barrel for consistency and velocity tests, it’s and old Gamo barrel.
My intention is to build two guns, one in .177 with all the bits for FT, to be tested in competition in our 2011 National Championship, and .22 version for my personal use 😆 it’s essencially an high power version for long range shooting
