Q:

My Latest Shroud

Here’s my newest shroud. This one is off my .25. Measurses 13.25″x 1.875″

Works real good. .308 one is 4″ longer. Does not use the frame, shroud is sealed at the barrel/frame.

Very effective with JSB’s at 900-930 fps. Works good at 150 fpe also.

Very nice!

A true work of Art my Friend! 😀 😀

Yes that is the barrel bushing. It is threaded and screws in. Also has a o ring for the barrel.

Is the last picture the baffle you talk about Doug, looks more like a barrel bushing?

No loose parts inside. All screws together and baffles are machined into the last 3 pieces.

ID is around 1.70″. Threads are 1.75″-20. Through hole is .271″

As of right now I’m only putting them on complete guns I’m building.

I need your the frame and barrel to make it.

Gentlemen, we have another “way-too-cool-for-school” part from doug.

I’m may need one of those. For sale? how much?

Yes all aluminum. The first piece and the last 3 pieces start as 2″ bar.

Maybe 4-5 hrs. Need to make 6 of them so I guess I will find out.

I’m going to anodize it but I’m doing the whole gun with it so everything will be the same. Going to glass bead everything first so it comes out a flat black.

All aluminum?

How many hours of machining time did that take?

What is the OD of the inner bits that slide into the cover sleeve (if it exists)?
I cannot see the seams if there is no outer sleeve. Amazing machining.
