My new Colt Commander!
On my last deployment we put together a custom order from Colt for a 1911 with custom serial numbers. Our call sign was stoic so they are all stoic xxxx numbered. Then we had then sent to a shop down here in miramar for a little dressing up. Filled out all the paper work yesterday and will be able to pick it up in 10 days! They also did up a set of grips with the squadron logo on them. Was excited and forgot to put the grips in the photo but will update the photos when i pick it up. I got #9! Was the 3rd order so should have gotten #3 but the senior pilots took them in order of position. Co 1, xo 2 etc. Still a bada$$ trophy. Will get me a custom box made and put her on display in my man cave when i get one.

I have 15 high capacity mags with it. All but one came from our local Police Dept. during Clintons 10 round magazine capacity ban. My buddy was the shift commander and he got them for me. Back then high capacity Mags were going for $ 90 to $110 per mag, mine were $10 each.

I gave retirement notice on Monday and my last “work” day is Aug. 26th!
Did I hear someone say Para??? This is my Para that I had built for !PSA shooting. It took me up to 95.7 % in the Master class. For some reason I couldn’t get over 96% to get me into Grand Master class. :sadn: This gun has well over 300,000 rounds through it.

Thanks gents. I love the 1911 also. I had a paraordnance double stack with lasermax laser that replaced the spring guide rod. Was an awesome setup and regret selling it. Unfortunately i am in cali so can only have 10 rd mags so not buying many guns right now. But could not pass this up.
I probably have around 20 some handguns. When I shot on the Army pistol team I took a liking to 1911s and S&W Mod 52s and 41s. Getting ready for a CCW class Sunday morning, I’ll have a few laid out.

Sweet looking gun. I love all 6 of my Kimber .45s.
Very nice. I picked up a two-tone Kimber with the 4″ barrel myself a few months ago and love it.
My son’s friend did two tours in Afghanistan (Korengal Valley) and his group picked desert-tan Parabellum 45’s with their insignia on them.
