My New Mini Mill
It isnt here yet – But I have the work surface ready and I slightly rearranged my shop so the Lathe and Mill will be next to each other instead of having wood/metal tools scattered around. Mill should come tomorrow !

I was planning on getting a sheet or two of MDF as suggested on the mini-lathe site to raise it and add some strength as the sheet thats on there is split down the center lengthways.
If theres too much vibration then I’ll just move it to my workbench – Want to try this first because its a better layout and use of space for me.
I suggest you load that thing with a ton of shit to get some weight on it or your mill just might be called Lady Chatterly 🙄
I have mine bolted to a bench mounted to the garage wall. It can not move.
You’ll also want to beef up that table top. another 3/4″ would be good
Ha, you shop harbor freight a lot. I recognize half of the tools in there from our garage, my dad gets everything there. 😛
Nice lathe. How much easier will it be to make me a new shroud after I blow this one up too? 😛

You may not be, Rob, but I’m just about the same shade of green as my parakeet right now :-)! Still haven’t been able to convince the wife that I NEED a metal lathe and mill, but I’ll keep trying. Later.
