My new MK II .22 Impact 600mm

I was talking to Tony today and he asked that I join the forum and share how my Impact is shooting. Before I get too far, I am coming from shooting an AirForce Talon w/24″ LW for the past 10+ years. After seeing the Impact on so many YouTubes I took the plunge and picked this one up from Tony. I was a bit intimidated at first with all the adjustments but I took on tuning with as a methodical approach as I could. I only changed 1 thing at a time and took notes of all parameters. After a couple of months I think I have a bit of a grasp of what does what. I’ve heard Matt and Ted talk about how they can hear when then gun sounds right. I thought I’d never get there but I think I’m closing in.
I have mainly been shooting with the the STX slug barrel and I have tried all the NSA slugs available. Attached are photos with the NSA.218 24.8gr. at 929ft/sec valve set at .39″ Hammer Spring at Max measuring .64″ Regulator at 123 bar. Keep in mind the wind was gusting past 20mph. 4 shots in 1 hole with 1 close flyer at 50yds. This gun with these slugs is an amazing piece!
This setup is deadly on ground squirrels and I have some interesting video to prove it! I just received the Superior Heavy liner from Tony yesterday and I’m looking forward to see what it will do- I’ll let you know- Best, Bob

Very nice groups Bob. Glad to see someone else has to deal with the wind. Ha

I’ve had great results with the 31.2gr. Scary accurate.

Update: Last night the smoke was finally down in Central California and I thought I’d give the New Superior Heavy Liner a try with Nielsen 31.2. Leaving the valve and hammer spring alone I pushed the reg up in increments until I reached 151 with outstanding initial results. Consistent sub 1/2″ groups at 50 yds. I will continue to work on this slug and other weight NSA’s and let you know the results-

Thanks Tony! Hate to disappoint but it’s just an old iphone 7 on portrait mode- haha!

Welcome Bob,
Great shooting in those conditions..
Hell of a pic too..
